The New Conservative Political Activism
Political activism is something with which most conservatives are unfamiliar. In this year, when the conservative arm of the GOP has been less than enthusiastic about their Presidential candidate, it has been even more difficult to be active. That will have to change in order to combat the leftist extremism that has become so abundantly pervasive throughout the media -- including the "blogosphere." It is time for conservatives to utilize the tools before us to meet the onslaught head-on. Blogging is one piece of the puzzle. Dr. Donald Douglas has posted an interesting piece on his American Power blog related to that very issue. You can view it here. How will you respond?

Like Donald, blogging has changed me also. Politics has become important, and was the basis for starting up the L Party Blog in support of the Liberal Party of Australia. Over here, this is the conservative of the two major parties. Then there is also the American Interests site. When I began this in early '07 I sought to make it non partisan or aplotical. But this has changed, how could it not. If you care about America...

This is very true, and we are going to have to be ready for the attacks from the Obama army. They will seek out opposition blogs and try to discredit the authors. There is a brilliant article that Rush Limbaugh spoke of today that outlines this new electronic army that Obama has.
Clay: I hope that we can engage them in legitimate debate although that would be out of character for them. I suspect the "Fairness Doctrine" will raise its ugly head in the blogging world as well as in talk radio. If they seek to discredit, it means we are making an impact. Let us draw them into the open.
